Morgan County System of Services, Inc. (SOS) is a private non-profit agency that strives to close the opportunity divide by providing youth experiencing at-risk situations with the education, skills, experience and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional instruction and guidance. This mission is accomplished by a dedicated staff of employees, volunteers and board members. Our staff is our strength because they constantly strive to help our most vulnerable youth redirect their lives and become contributing members of their families and our communities.
Our goal is to prepare disadvantaged youth in at-risk situations for a better future, because every child deserves a chance to THRIVE, not just SURVIVE.
Morgan county System of Services programs are designed and instituted to provide strong, client-driven support for youth experiencing at-risk situations, utilizing research-based curriculum in a culturally competent and community-based setting. Services remain relevant by offering data-driven, flexible and creative resources and solutions individualized to the needs of youth and their families. In addition to providing direct services, families are connected to local partners to receive additional coaching, training, counseling and education. Programming is based on the concept of identifying the positive capacities of youth and their families, building on the family's natural supports and creating a sustainable network of social and community relationships.
