Parent Project

Parent Project®  is a training program designed for parents of strong willed or out of control children.  Classes meet weekly for ten (10) weeks and are facilitated by a Parent Project® certified trained facilitator.  Topics include reducing family conflict and arguing, improving school performance and attendance, identifying and intervening with alcohol and other drug abuse, interceding with negative peer associations and helping parents to set effective limits.  The class is supported with PowerPoint presentations, guest speakers, videos, and role plays.  The final four (4) weeks include a support group format in the final hour to give parents an opportunity to receive support and encouragement from each other.  The contact person is Kim Gully.  Her office number is 256-350-8434 ext. 208.
